The Challenge

To make recommendations for organisational change and structures in respect of the Department’s decision-making and management, communication of information, relationship & oversight of key agencies.

What we did

We consider in depth what needed to be done to regenerate the Department in a way which makes it more resilient and better aligned with the demands of the environment and society in which it now operates. To understand the remit and purpose of the Department we interviewed all stakeholders and Department leaders. We recommended a fundamental restructuring of the Department involving the adoption of a functional organisational model with a new management structure and a redesigned Operating model which supports the restructured Department.

What was the outcome?

The Department embraced all recommendations and are undertaking a significant organisational and culture transformation.
